Greenberg Hathway Macmillan takes instructions from one office in Somerset West. We prepare the papers, lodge them where the law requires, appear when a matter must be pressed, and keep the client told. You need not know the category before you write. We read the facts and place the work in the correct desk.
The practice is built around four kinds of work. Immigration remains the core: South African visas, permits, and citizenship, with outbound China and United States files beside it. Legal counsel for companies and individuals, and a government-document desk, complete the instruction.
What we do
SA Immigration
Temporary residence, permanent residence, and citizenship. Appeals, overstays, waivers, and litigation when a Home Affairs file will not move.
Legal Services
In-house counsel for companies — registrations, contracts, governance, employment. A personal consultant for civil, family, and estate matters.
Government Documents
Police clearance, record checks, biometrics, SAQA, Umalusi, HPCSA, USAf exemption, and apostille of public documents for use abroad.
China Visa & US Immigration
Chinese visas lodged at the Visa Application Service Centre, and outbound United States residence and work, on instruction.
How an instruction proceeds
Write with the facts: who you are, what you need, and which papers you already hold. We say what the statute and the department will require, what we will do, and what you must still obtain. The file is opened from The Sanctuary Mall, 2nd Floor (S8), Somerset West.
A visa or permit is prepared, lodged, and followed. Legal counsel is advice and drafting on instruction. A document is obtained, verified, and apostilled. We do not leave the client to guess which counter to join.
